P J Gibbons
P J Gibbons is both editor and publisher of Social & Personal magazine, Ireland’s original society magazine. 2009 is an important year for P J as he not only celebrates his fifth year as editor/publisher of that title, but also the magazine’s 75th birthday. He also owns two other magazine titles; Social & Personal Weddings and Social & Personal Living. P J came to the world of media 16 years ago this year, when he started out as a freelance news and features journalist with the Irish Press. He later moved to work for the Irish Independent on a freelance basis, as well as holding down a position as senior news journalist with one of Ireland’s leading regional radio stations. He regularly appears on TV and radio in Ireland and also writes a weekly social-style column for the Irish Examiner newspaper.
